Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! This will be a place for me to share my plant- and wildlife-related thoughts, photos, drawings, paintings and discoveries, as well as my progress as I learn to draw and paint the natural world. I will write about things I find interesting. And while I’m perfectly happy to talk to myself (just ask anyone who knows me!), if anyone else reads and finds it interesting, too, I will be really chuffed, and if I inspire even a small spark of inquisitiveness or interest in someone for something they had never given a thought to before that would be a lovely bonus.

I’m not an expert - there are loads of other great blogs and websites by far more knowledgeable people than me and I wouldn’t presume to compete with them. I will merely share my own thoughts and experiences. I have been observing and studying the natural world for over 15 years and am always learning new things, and, as in many areas of life, it’s certainly true that the more you learn, the more you realise how much you don’t know - but the little glimpses we get keep us coming back for more!
